Fureys - I live Not Where I Love

I live Not Where I Love

Zeitweise hieß die Band The Fureys and Davey Arthur.

Lyrics

Come all you maids who live at a distance. Many miles from off your swain. Come and assist me this very moment. For to pass away some time.

Singing sweetly and completely. Songs of pleasure and of love. For my heart is with her all together. Though I live not where I love.

And when I sleep I dream about her. When I wake I find no rest. Every moment thinking of her. My heart lie buried within my chest.

And all with distance may be assistance. If ever I my mind removed. For my heart is with her every moment. Though I live not where I love.

And all the world shall be one religion. Living things shall cease to die. Before I proved false unto my true love. And anyway my heart deny.

The world would change, and be more strange. If ever I my mind removed. My heart is with her altogether. Though I live not where I love.

So come all you lads, come all you lassies. Now I think I've found my love. I will away to yonder mountain. Where I think I hear her voice.

And if she calls then I must follow. Around the world though it'd be so wide. My heart is with her all together. Though I live not where I love.
